Help The ReMix Way

Our congregation has been generous in giving items and funding for cajitas, boxes of food and supplies for our immigrant neighbors who are afraid to leave their homes.  But now we are running low, just when we are trying to increase the number of families we help.  Please consider purchasing an item or two whenever you shop.  Unfortunately, the need is not going away anytime soon.

You will find a list of needed items here.  You can leave them in the Susan B Anthony room, across the hall from the copy machine.

For those families whose breadwinner has suddenly been detained or deported, assistance with rent and other expenses is critical.  Donations can be made to the Nashville Unidos Fund. Gift cards, including Lyft or Uber cards, may be left in the offering plate, in an envelope
clearly marked “ReMix Way.”

If you are interested in getting more involved, there are additional ways to help.  For packing the goods into boxes, transporting them to a warehouse, or delivering them to the families, contact Susan Johnston.  For information about being trained as a verifier (witness to ICE raids), contact Jack Willey.  Your help will be very much appreciated.
