The FUUN Board of Directors met 05/19/26. (a) Rev. Charlotte shared that the Tennessean is working on an article about the church! Someone may be at the May 31 service to take photos. (b) We discussed the agenda for our Annual Meeting on May 31st. Lunch will be available for those attending the annual meeting. As part of this, two leaders from the Beloved Community team reviewed a new, additional covenant they have spent the year developing, in response to the church’s work on Widening the Circle of Concern. We also agreed on the language for the proposed bylaw amendments for the Committee on Shared Ministry (in conjunction with the committee members). Both the new proposed covenant and the bylaw amendments will be voted on at our annual meeting. We will also vote on leadership positions and the 2026-27 Budget. (c) We debriefed on the community conversation on growth on May 3. The conversation was generally positive, productive, and inline with ongoing and planned church activities. (d) The treasurer reviewed the proposed 2026-27 budget, including the committee’s work to be more transparent in the budget. The board approved the proposed budget to be presented at the annual meeting for a congregational vote.
