Tennessee Interfaith Power & Light (TIPL) Update
FUUN is a proud member of TIPL, an organization that advocates for energy justice and conservation across the state. The Nashville chapter is very active and if you want more information, check out their website (tennipl.org/) or contact Ibba Surface.

Major 2021 Accomplishments:

  • Spearheaded the successful advocacy for the Nashville Electric Service “Power of Change” Round-Up program that rolled out in 2021. This program that has completed whole home weatherization for over 500 households.
  • Successfully advocated for Nashville’s Dark Sky ordinance, which limits light pollution.
  • TIPL coordinator Daniel Joranko, and TIPL Board member Jason Carney served on the Nashville Mayor’s Sustainability Advisory Committee. They provided substantial leadership including a major emphasis on energy justice for underserved communities.
