In 2014, a committed group of Nashville faith leaders, recognizing the common threads of our diverse communities, came together for a covenanting ceremony to become the power organization we know today as Nashville Organized for Action and Hope (NOAH). Today we face severe threats to our sacred values of democracy, equity, and heeding the voices of traditionally marginalized people. This moment calls us to come together once again, in a covenant renewal ceremony, to reaffirm our commitment to put our values into action.
The NOAH Covenant Renewal Ceremony will take place on Sunday, July 27, from 2 pm to 4 pm, at the Greater Bethel AME Church, 1300 South Street, Nashville TN 37212. A reception will follow.
During the Covenant Renewal, NOAH member organizations will demonstrate their abundant presence by walking into the sanctuary carrying a sign that displays the name of their organization and sitting in their reserved area. FUUN's designated spokesperson will announce our presence, share our mission statement, take the pledge on behalf of our church, and receive the covenanting seal.
